Mad World - Tears For Fears

"And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
'Cause I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It's a very, very
Mad world, mad world
Mad world, mad world..."

Mad World
(Tears For Fears)

All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
Going nowhere, going nowhere
And their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, no expression
Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow
No tomorrow, no tomorrow

And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
'Cause I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It's a very, very
Mad world, mad world
Mad world, mad world

Children waiting for the day they feel good
Happy birthday, happy birthday
Made to feel the way that every child should
Sit and listen, sit and listen
Went to school and I was very nervous
No one knew me, no one knew me
Now the teacher tell me what's my lesson
Look right through me, look right through me

And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
'Cause I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It's a very, very
Mad world, mad world
Mad world, mad world

And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
'Cause I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It's a very, very
Mad world, mad world
Halogean world
Mad world, mad world

Rare Bird - Sympathy

"And sympathy is what we need my friend!"

Sympathy

Now when you climp, into your bed tonight.
And when you lock and bolt the door.
Just thing of those, out in the cold and dark,
'cause there's not enough love to go 'round.

And sympathy is what we need my friend,
and sympathy is what we need.
And sympathy is what we need my friend,
'cause there's not enough love to go 'round,
no there's not enough love to go 'round.

Now half the world, hates the other half.
And half the world, has all the food.
And half the world, lies down and quietly starves,
'cause there's not enough love to go 'round

We're All Playing In The Same Band - Bert Sommer

"We're all playing in the same band!

We're All Playing In The Same Band
(Bert Sommer)

We're all playing in the same band
There's enough guitars for you and me
Stand beside your brother and take his hand
Seems the times are changing finally

We're all playing in the same band
Sing the song together and you'll see
Let them know forever just where you stand
People must be learning finally

And we're all playing in the same band
We're all playing in the same band
We're all playing in the same band

Oh, him, her, you and me
Them and those, he and she
And we and we

Him, her, you and me
Them and those, he and she
And we and we

We're all playing in the same band
There's enough guitars for you and me
Stand beside your brother and take his hand
Seems the times are changing finally

Whoa, oh, oh
And we're all playing in the same band
We're all playing in the same band
We're all playing in the same band

Bob Marley and The Wailers - Concrete Jungle

Concret Jungle
(Bob Marley)

No sun will shine in my day today
(No sun will shine.)
The high yellow moon won't come out to play
(Won't come out to play.)
Darkness has covered my light (and has changed,)
And has changed my day into night
Now where is this love to be found, won't someone tell me?
'Cause life, sweet life, must be somewhere to be found, yeah
Instead of a concrete jungle where the livin' is hardest
Concrete jungle, oh man, you've got to do your best, yeah.

No chains around my feet, but I'm not free
I know I am bound here in captivity
And I've never known happiness, and I've never known sweetcaresses
Still, I be always laughing like a clown
Won't someone help me?
Cause, sweet life, I've, I've got to pick myself from off the ground, yeah
In this here concrete jungle,
I say, what do you got for me now?
Concrete jungle, oh, why won't you let me be now?

I said life, sweet life, must be somewhere to be found, yeah
Instead of a concrete jungle, illusion, confusion
Concreate jungle, yeah
Concrete jungle, you name it, we got it, concrete jungle now

Concrete jungle, what do you got for me now

Caetano Veloso - Tigresa

"Mas ela ao mesmo tempo diz
Que tudo vai mudar,
Porque ela vai ser o que quis
Inventando um lugar
Onde a gente e a natureza feliz,

Ps. Viajei na maionese?

Tigresa
(Caetano Veloso)

Uma tigresa de unhas
Negras e íris cor de mel.
Uma mulher, uma beleza
Que me aconteceu.
Esfregando a pele de ouro marrom
Do seu corpo contra o meu
Me falou que o mal é bom e o bem cruel.

Enquanto os pelos dessa
Deusa tremem ao vento ateu,
Ela me conta, sem certeza,
Tudo o que viveu:
Que gostava de política em mil
Novecentos e sessenta e seis
E hoje dança no Frenetic Dancin? Days.

Ela me conta que era atriz
E trabalhou no Hair.
Com alguns homens foi feliz,
Com outros foi mulher.
Que tem muito ódio no coração,
Que tem dado muito amor,
Espalhado muito prazer e muita dor.

Mas ela ao mesmo tempo diz
Que tudo vai mudar,
Porque ela vai ser o que quis
Inventando um lugar
Onde a gente e a natureza feliz,
Vivam sempre em comunhão
E a tigresa possa mais do que o leão.

As garras da felina
Me marcaram o coração,
Mas as besteiras de menina
Que ela disse, não.
E eu corri pra o violão num lamento
E a manhã nasceu azul.
Como é bom poder tocar um instrumento.

Passaredo - Chico Buarque

"Bico calado

Passaredo
(Francis Hime e Chico Buarque)

Ei, pintassilgo
Oi, pintaroxo
Melro, uirapuru
Ai, chega-e-vira
Engole-vento
Saíra, inhambu
Foge asa-branca
Vai, patativa
Tordo, tuju, tuim
Xô, tié-sangue
Xô, tié-fogo
Xô, rouxinol sem fim
Some, coleiro
Anda, trigueiro
Te esconde colibri
Voa, macuco
Voa, viúva
Utiariti
Bico calado
Toma cuidado
Que o homem vem aí
O homem vem aí
O homem vem aí

Ei, quero-quero
Oi, tico-tico
Anum, pardal, chapim
Xô, cotovia
Xô, ave-fria
Xô, pescador-martim
Some, rolinha
Anda, andorinha
Te esconde, bem-te-vi
Voa, bicudo
Voa, sanhaço
Vai, juriti
Bico calado
Muito cuidado
Que o homem vem aí
O homem vem aí
O homem vem aí

Tirinha

Hungry Planet - The Byrds

"I´m a hungry planet, I had the blueest seas
All the people kept chopping down all my finest trees
Poisening my oxygen, diggin´ in my skin
Takin´ more out of my earth than they´ll ever put back in"

Hungry Planet
(Ther Byrds)

I´m a hungry planet, I had a youthful face
They were in hurry to go to outer space
They needed bombs and tungsten, ore and iron too
So they climbed and they dug and they blew divided me right in two

I´m a hungry planet orbiting in the sky
The things they did to hurt me pass on by and by
Now here I am all alone, they never ever learn
Well I had to shake and quake and make their houses burn

I´m a hungry planet, I had the blueest seas
All the people kept chopping down all my finest trees
Poisening my oxygen, diggin´ in my skin
Takin´ more out of my earth than they´ll ever put back in
I´m a hungry planet

Made To Love Magic

"I was born to sail away
Into a land of forever
Not to be tied to an old stone grave
In your land of never"

Made to love magic
(Nick Drake)

I was born to love no one
No one to love me
Only the wind in the long green grass
The frost in a broken tree.

I was made to love magic
All its wonder to know
But you all lost that magic
Many many years ago.

I was born to use my eyes
Dream with the sun and the skies
To float away in a lifelong song
In the mist where melody flies.

I was made to love magic...

I was born to sail away
Into a land of forever
Not to be tied to an old stone grave
In your land of never.

I was made to love magic...
